I’ve been using this coaster for movie nights and it really holds my crackers steady without sliding off. The food-grade oil finish gives it a nice smooth feel, and the raised border is just enough to keep crumbs contained.

Bought this for the raised border—actually keeps my pretzels from rolling off the table while I’m typing. The food-grade oil finish feels safe to eat around, and it’s held up fine after a few weeks of nightly use.

The raised border actually works — my almonds stayed put instead of rolling onto the coffee table. The food-grade oil finish wipes clean with just a damp cloth, which I didn't expect from wood.
